Full Itinerary
Day 1: Saigon Arrival
Upon your arrival at Saigon Airport, you will be welcome by our guide and transferred to the hotel on a private vehicle. The rest of the day is your leisure to recover from the flight and explore Saigon – the heart of South Vietnam.
Day 2: Saigon Past & Present
Today, you will be picked up at the hotel to start your exploration of Saigon city. First, head to Reunification Palace, the living and working place of presidents of the puppet South Vietnam government in the Vietnam War in the 20th century. Next, continue your travel with a visit to the War Remnant Museum which displays countless devices, vehicles, and weapons used by American troops in the Vietnam War. You will have a chance to see images and listening to the stories revealing the crimes of War as well as the reason why little Vietnamese could defeat the powerful American troops. End your journey to the past with a quick look at the statue of a Burning monk, who sacrifices himself in the fire to protest the sanguinary actions of American as well as the puppet government.
In the afternoon, experience the vibrant present of Saigon through the view from the sky view of Landmark 81 – the tallest building in Southeast Asia (2019). Then travel to Ben Thanh Market, the biggest one in town which you can find anything in Vietnam. Stroll around the market, witness the lifestyle of local people, purchase some souvenirs or local products, and sit at some food stalls to enjoy some of the most amazing street foods here.
Day 3: Saigon – Can Tho
Escape from the hustle and bustle Saigon with a drive to Can Tho, the largest city in Mekong Delta. On arrival, you are free to explore this city on your own or relax at the hotel.
Day 4: Can Tho – Ben Tre
Wake up early this morning and head to the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. Sit on a sampan to experience the life of local merchants as you take in the sounds and sights of various boats selling all kinds of fresh products. Your breakfast today can be found in one of the boats here. Next, travel to the Munirangsyaram Pagoda and admire its colorful, ancient tower situated in the middle of an urban landscape.
Then travel to Ben Tre and join in another scenic boat ride along the Ham Luong River with rustic sceneries and immense rice fields along the river banks. Stop at a peaceful village and board a rickshaw to visit ripe fruit orchards. Afterward, ride a bike through bridges and canals to reach a private cooking lesson at a local Vietnamese home and learn how to make local specialties such as green papaya salad and lemongrass chicken. Enjoy your lunch with the dishes you cooked.
In the afternoon, enjoy traditional music performance and visit some nearby home handicrafts and local industries such as rice paper, coconut candy, and mats. Later, travel back to Can Tho for overnight.
Day 5: Can Tho - Saigon
Today, get on the private vehicle to return to Saigon. On the way, stop to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the iconic Buddhist construction in South Vietnam. On arrival in Saigon, enjoy your lunch, relax at the hotel before transferring to the airport to catch a domestic flight to Phu Quoc Island.
Landing from the flight, the remainder of the day will be yours. Soak up the sunlight on the endless sandy, swim in cool water and experience the marine life with snorkeling and scuba diving.
Day 6: Phu Quoc Island Relax & Revelry
Wake up in paradise today and enjoy your second day in Phu Quoc. In addition to the beach break, consider joining a cruise to explore the untouched island with the cool wind rushing through your hair. You can also visit Ham Ninh fishing village to enjoy a delicious meal of freshly-caught seafood by local fishermen. Pepper farms and fish sauce factories are the two options for your itinerary on Phu Quoc Island.
Day 7: Phu Quoc Island – Saigon
Seize this day as this will be your last day in Phu Quoc Island. Today, you are free to roam and explore the island. Consider traveling to Phu Quoc Pearl Farm with diverse gorgeous pearls. Visit the stunning Suoi Tranh waterfalls and take a refreshing dip in the falls and absorb the spectacular scenery of untouched forests. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and take a flight back to Saigon.
Day 8: Saigon Departure
Say farewell to Saigon today and transfer to the airport to catch your flight home. Trip ends.
