Day 1: Siem Reap – Tonle River
In the morning, meet our guide and driver at the appointment in Siem Reap. Then travel to the pier at Tonle Sap Lake where you can transfer to the river cruise by a boat.
After the cruise check-in, enjoy your lunch on board while sailing gently glides over the Tonle Sap Lake. Blow your mind and free your eyes on the extensive lake while the boat makes its way across. In the afternoon, enjoy tea in the bar and relish your first cruising day. You can also relax on your balcony or revel in a spa treatment. The boat moors on the Tonle River.
Day 2: Kampong Chhnang – Kampong Tralach – Kampong Cham
Wake up early this morning to marvel at the magnificent sunset and join in a Taichi lesson for a flawless start. After breakfast, travel to Kampong Chhnang, known as the Cambodian water world. Everything here is on sticks balanced on the water-rich soil. Later, head to a rural village nearby for a leisure walking tour taking you to see the stable product of the village including Khmer style pottery and palm sugar.
Next, continue to explore the village as well as wetlands of the region before returning to the cruise. Your lunch is served while the ship is cruising along Tonle River towards Kampong Tralach through leafy swaths of the jungle to witness the river lifestyle since it is so different from ours. Back on board, pass downstream the confluence of the two rivers of Tonle and Mekong. The cruise moors at Kampong Cham.
Day 3: Kampong Cham – Okhna Tey – Phnom Penh
After breakfast, learn onboard more about the education of young Cambodian generations (an NGO project). The children are excited to show you their skills in art and music. Later, leave the cruise to reach the temple of Wat Hanchey which was constructed in the 7th century. It sits on a hilltop on the shore with astonishing views over the Mekong River.
In the afternoon, arrive at the island of Koh Oknha Tey in the middle of the Mekong River. It is renowned for manufacturing high-class silk products. You can also hop on a tuk-tuk to discover the island to see its workshops and local life. Afterward, the ship arrives and docks Phnom Penh. The rest of the day is your leisure to explore Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.
Day 4: Phnom Penh City Tour
Today, discover Phnom Penh which retains a ton of elegance and charm. It is also the mesmerizing city with a long-standing history as well as cultures that can be experienced at every corner. After breakfast, visit the Killing Fields displaying a cruel chapter of Khmer history.
After lunch, continue to explore the fascinating heritage of Phnom Penh including the National Museum and Silver Pagoda. In the evening, enjoy dinner while marveling at the enchanting traditional dance with the soothing sound of music.
Day 5: Phnom Penh – Border Crossing – Tan Chau
Today, gather at the lounge for an interesting lecture about the modern history of Cambodia. A cooking class is available in the afternoon to sharpen your knowledge about the local cuisine of Cambodia. The cruise will reach the Vietnamese border and moor at Tan Chau.
Day 6: Tan Chau – My An Hung – Sa Dec
After breakfast, hop on a local vehicle “xe loi” and travel around the streets, visit local workshops and traditional houses. Stop at a market nearby to interact with friendly vendors and try your own bargaining experience.
Next, set off at My An Hung village to relish in the wonderful insights into vegetable fields through unique monkey bridges. Then visit a local house for Vietnamese tea tasting and juice. At dawn, gather on the riverbank with your favorite cocktails for recapping the day before transferring back to the ship. The ship moors at Sa Dec.
Day 7: Binh Thanh Island – Cai Be – My Tho
In the morning, reach Binh Thanh Island and embark on a boat to explore one of the largest islands in Mekong Delta. You will have a chance to wander around villages, get a deep understanding of the local lifestyle. Besides, you can follow the traditional mat making process and try hands-on experience.
In the afternoon, travel to Cai Be which is famous for the Catholic French church and the traditional crafts as well as local foods. Visit a local workshop where you can learn how rice wine and rice paper are made. You can also see the green canal network as well as farmers in their work. At sunset, a farewell event is ready for you with traditional art, music, and cuisine. The ship moors in My Tho.
Day 8: My Tho – Saigon
After breakfast, disembark the cruise then take a bus to Saigon. Your cruise trip ends.
